“IT IS ALL ABOUT LOOSING”
Saint Matthew 21. 1-9

The Lord sent two of His disciples.
a) To be a disciple is to have a brother
b) The tasks given are important but not glamorous
1. Retrieving a donkey and her colt
2. BUT LOOSING IS THE POINT
c) It if from the Mount of Olives that one enters the City of Peace
1. Olives used in anointing (water)
2. Jerusalem points to the Church Catholic
d) Don't fear people and their reactions/assaults
1. The Word is all you need (The Lord hath need of them)
2. The elect will be constrained by the HS
e) Nothing happens that is not In His Plan
1. Zechariah's prophecy would be fulfilled
2. All the O.T. prophecies would be fulfilled
3. The Lord's Words and Intentions towards you have been and will be fulfilled.
f) This Church & Parish is Zion; you are the Daughters of Zion-the Bride.
g) Jesus is the King-the Groom
1. His arrival is modest and inauspicious
2. His arrival feeds faith and not sinful expectations
3. He is that which He rides-a beast of burden; bearing the burden of your beastly old natures.
i. Donkeys are kicked
ii. Donkeys are made fun of
iii. Donkeys work
h) The great multitude may be invisible at times
i) The singing congregation of Palm Sunday is the praying congregation of Adventide
1. They strewed their garments-Christ was stripped of His-you are covered in His beautifully folded and scented robes
2. The palm branches were green and pleasing and useful-you are shielded and made green and pleasing in the shade of the Crucifix
j) The multitude that went before (the OT Hebrews and the NT Jews and later Gentiles);
k) The multitudes that follow (all that will be ingathered through the Word)
l) The multitude this day: YOU (with angels and archangels)
Hosanna to the Son of David. Blessed is He that cometh in the Name of the Lord; Hosanna in in the highest.
m) Save Now. The ride to Jerusalem is the ride to Calvary. The ride of Mary on donkey to Bethlehem is the ride to Calvary and also the journey from Jerusalem (Peace) to Bethlehem (Bread) for the Crucifix's Fruit is only eaten from bread/paten and wine/cup of His Body & Blood from the Altar/crèche.
n) He is Blessed because His name is Jesus: SAVIOR, He Who Saves. It blesses you because it is your name now + too (Baptism)…the name SAVED.
o) SAVE NOW in the Highest b/c He forever stands at the right hand of the Father interceding for you and forgiving you; loving you and giving you Peace.
In Advent you wait in eager and joyful anticipation for the Christmas in time and the Second Coming for Eternity. You wait with Him and In Him.
