“JESUS MINISTERS TO YOU”

The Lord did not just decide to go into the wilderness looking for adventure.

     

• He was led/driven by the HS
• Lead by Love/driven by a Love for His own

 

The Lord did not just go to Calvary and die as the Lamb

 

The Lord first went into the battlefield as a Lion of Judah

 

         The Lord was tempted/ TESTED by Satan

    

         The Lord fixed what you and your parents lost in Eden

 

        

          The Lord did not listen to the snakes’ lies

 

              Eve did—she wanted to be like God

 

              Cain did—he hated his brother

 

              The Sons of Jacob did-- they hated their brother Joseph

 

              The Israelites did-- they wanted food, drink, Egypt and their way

 

               You too listen to Satan—you don’t love God the way He demands

 --you don’t love your neighbors as He demands

 

 

 

Jesus is the Second Adam

 

             He is the true Son of Man – true Man Who obeys truly

 

             He wins back the Garden by winning in the dust of the dessert

 

Jesus is the True Lion by being the Lamb

 

              A different kind of Lion

 

                 Jesus did not do for Himself—He obeyed the Father

 

• No frenetic business; no programs
• Jesus was lonely, hungry, tired, thirsty and in danger

 

                 Jesus did not brag, dazzle, show-off or trade barbs

 

                               Jesus did not perform miracles for His own satisfaction

 

                 Jesus is the Word of God

 

                 Jesus is the author of the Word

 

                 Jesus is true to Himself and the Father

 

                  Jesus responds to the devil’s misquotes by simply being true

 

                  Jesus is the Truth

 

 

 

You believe the lies

 

• The lie that human bread is what is important (instant satisfaction of wants)
• The lie that just because you are Gods you can behave foolishly/recklessly
• The lie of the World’s glory, gold and gain
• The lie of worshipping two masters: God when you want; You when it feels right

 

Jesus hungered that He might fill you up

 

Jesus was cold that He might give you His robes

 

Jesus was surrounded by wild beasts that He might surround you with The Sabaoth

 

Jesus was obedient that you would be called Faithful and dutiful children

 

Jesus rejected the “world” that He might give you eternity

 

 

   HE DID NOT THROW HIMSELF OFF THE TEMPLE FOR HE HAD TO

   WAIT UNTIL THE TIME WAS RIGHT TO ALLOW HIMSELF TO BE

   THROWN OF THE EARTH AND NAILED ON HIGH

 

The WORD was all that Jesus needed to defeat the dragon

 

 

The Word is all that is needed to destroy sin, death, and hell

 

 

Jesus brings you the Word

 

• Your sins are paid for--  they are forgiven—they don’t exist anymore
• You are not in the wilderness of dust;  you are in the Water
• The lie of the World’s glory, gold and gain
• You are feasting on True Bread; not just wheat flour but Manna from heaven; angel’s food, the Body of God

 

You are quenched not just on Wine and Water but on the

elixir of immortality; the Blood of God

 

Jesus was ministered by Angels that He might minister to you today.
